Today’s post is just a reminder of where worship takes place.
Everywhere.
All the time.
It is not confined to one hour a week. It is not a 20 minute “set” where we perk up and thrust our hands in the air for our favorite songs or pick, scratch and yawn during the ones which bore us.
Because God was so merciful to offer His Son as a blood sacrifice for our sins, we offer ourselves to Him as a living sacrifice–and this is worship (Romans 12:1). It is not easy or comfortable. It requires deliberate action. It’s a discipline. We don’t just set time aside to worship, although that is part of the discipline.
We live in worship. Because He is so good to us, we offer lives full of gratitude and adoration in return.
And that’s work. So I better get to it!
O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Psalm 8:1
In awe of Him,
Katie
